We went caroling ( a few times actually), finished christmas shopping, went to a movie, I dragged Bobby, Kelsie & Bradon with me to help take all the activity day girls ice skating (which was a blast), and just had a relaxing week.
Porter took right to his Uncle Bobby, probably because he is the tallest in the house, and unfortunately Kelsie doesn't share that same talent, so porter wasn't as interested. But I think she did get a hug or something out of him at some point. haha.
We went to CALM again to see the lights, and I think the train ride was probably the most entertaining for the kids!! :)
Porter with Grandma & Grandpa
After the train ride
It wasn't too cold of a night, but I think everyone was ready for hot chocolate by the end of the evening
HAHAH.... Go brado
And THIS peach of a picture is golden!! Yes, I captured porter in the process of pooping. :) I think he makes the best faces EVER!
Christmas morning was so different this year. We went to church for an hour, and then came home to get back in pajamas. I strongly felt you can't have "christmas morning" without your pajamas, but not everyone agreed.... losers. It was madness once everyone was here, the kids were already super excited from their own present unveiling earlier that morning, and the adults were super excited about the brunch extravaganza! It was just crazy. About noon we finally all made it into the living room to open gifts and then things just got louder! Porter wasn't interested in opening up any of his stuff, but was really wanting to help all the kids open theirs. Well.... then they thought he was trying to take their stuff (which he probably was) so then there was screaming and yelling, and it was just really LOUD. So, I put porter down for a nap and that seemed to calm things down a bit. Once everyone was gone and he woke up he was in a much better mood, and really interested in all of this new toys. He even liked his rocking horse.... until he found out it makes noise and chews, now all he wants to do is play with the face of the horse instead of ride it. hmm... it's cool, he's still not able to climb on or off it by himself yet.
Mario Cart in progress....
The cute rocking horse we got Porter this year!!
Christmas morning!
My sister made all the kids capes for christmas, and yes that is my child wearing his cape with no shirt on :)
Brittany, announced her 3rd pregnancy and forgetting to tell andi about it beforehand :) haha... best moment of christmas morning!
Shirtless play time
Cameron called and we were able to video for a while. I have been spoiled every year so far and have had Cameron home for every christmas and thanksgiving, so this year was just strange. He said he had a pretty good day, but I still felt bad that he was all alone :( thats just not right. Of course, he was sneaky and outdid himself yet again, and managed to make me feel totally ridiculous in the process. I was under the impression we were getting auto car starters for Alaska this year for Christmas, but cameron had sent something to the house that my parents intercepted. I was thinking the whole time my parents got us this perfect table router (and repeatedly told Cameron how I'm some sort of mastermind at figuring gifts out, and how I know they got us a router, etc) when in reality.... Cameron had bought me the router for Christmas. Once I saw the tag was from him I felt like an idiot. :) But an idiot with a router, so I was just fine with it :) PLUS, I have now been given permission to use the saw we got a few years ago for Christmas!! WOOHOO... watch out!
Christmas day concluded with a few rounds of apples to apples, and hanging out with family. Pretty awesome day! Only one person could have made it better..... maybe next year ;)
