some new obsessions!

ok, so I have recently discovered a few new "loves" of mine. It's a little shameful that I spend as much time as I do preoccupied with such pointless things, but I am secretly loving it! (or not so secretly since i'm posting about it)
1. Pinterest. I know this isn't a new site or anything, but it's new to me and I have to say.... I'm in love. I find the funnest and cutest things on there! Like this random "christmas craft" Britt and I decided to do Friday morning. She called to see when we were working out, and I had to admit I forgot and took a shower, so we bailed on the idea of exercise and went straight to crafting!

2. Cameron completely spoils me! Months ago, right after I came back from New Jersey, I told cameron that eventually we need to get a macbook instead of the hp laptops we have. I had spent hours editing some pictures I took for Gary and Audra because they looked so crummy on my computer. Well, gary was impatient and loaded them onto his mac before I could finish and they looked fantastic! No editing necessary! So then it got me thinking the countless hours i have spent "fixing" pictures I had taken, to print them out and have them look orange or too bright, etc. Anyway, that was my argument. I didn't really expect we would get one anytime soon, but to my surprise, I got a package in the mail last week (which was supposed to be the replacement battery for the hp laptop since it died) but.... it wasn't. It was a brand new macbook pro. It has more bells and whistles than I know what to do with yet, but I am loving figuring it out. And as simple as it seems... the thing I love most about it is that I don't have to keep it plugged in ALL the time! :) Anyway, Cameron justifies this as saying "happy anniversary" but he and I both know that last months trip to Europe was our anniversary celebration! Either way, I love that I am so spoiled & blessed to have such a thoughtful husband!

3. Holday Season: especially Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookies, hot chocolate, and apple cider!
Easiest pumpkin cookie recipe you will ever find (thanks to my amazing friend Alisa)
1 can of Pumpkin Puree (14.5 oz)
1 box of spice cake mix (just the dry mix)
1 bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
TADA!!!  Bake for 18-20min @ 325.... YUM!

hmm.... I know there are other obsessions I have discovered lately, but none are coming to mind. And since Porter is napping, I think it is time I follow suit and get some shut eye.
I have a whole update on Porter's 1 yr checkup and stats to come soon.... like I said, I have been preoccupied. I'm a wreck.
