Yes, I am aware that I'm almost a month late with this update, but I had to wait for pictures... and the other night when Porter and I were playing around the house I just HAD to pull out the camera! He is the funnest kid!
After I got back from our Europe trip, I took Porter in for his 1 yr checkup. He is now... drumroll please.... 32 inches tall, 24 ½ lbs, and well above average in every category for height/wt/head. He is wearing all 18-24 month clothes and is a total stud!! (as you can see...)
Oh.... this glare. Who does this remind you of?
Peek-a-boo
Oh, we see this face a lot more frequently these days.... :)
Porter's favorite things to do as a newly turned toddler: Walk/stumble all over the place, “run away” from anyone. He really does start his own game, he looks at you... waits, then takes off crawling or “running” to whoever he thinks will pick him up, all while squealing and laughing even if your not really chasing him. Haha. He loves being outside, especially with the dogs or playing in the dirt. Porter loves walks, being pushed in his stroller or his awesome truck. He has become quite independent while also becoming super cuddly! He is more cuddly now than he has ever been as a baby and I am really enjoying that! He loves jewelery (and managed to break 2 of my necklaces last weekend), playing the piano (mostly with uncle bradon), dancing in the kitchen (again with uncle brado... high school musical rocks!), and grooving to any music that he hears . He only likes water in his sippy, will only relax to “twinkle twinkle little star”, and has 2 favorite books (Waddle-thanks Florence! And Elmer- thanks Corky!) that he will find and bring to you when he wants to look at them. He is a great eater: fruit, pasta, sandwiches, cheese, nutrigrain bars, yogurt (his favorite while kickin back watching baby einstein), potatoes, and ANYTHING grandpa is eating. His transition to whole milk wasn't so successful, so he is a soy milk drinker and does beautifully on it! I am totally in love with this kid! He makes my days super fun, as well as makes me pull my hair out some days, but thats part of the game right? I really can't wait for Cameron to be home to play with Porter. They are going to be the best of friends (sorry KC- you're getting the back seat on this one).
I won't lie, I am completely dreading our flight to Utah this weekend with him. He was a terror on the flight to Florida and he wasn't even walking yet! Cross your fingers he is either really well behaved, or he sleeps through the whole thing... How easy do you think it would be to get from row 3B to the exit row, open the cabin door, and toss him out? (without a chute?) hmm... :) Just Kidding... sorta. Haha, I am just really stressed, but I'm sure 3 hours of flying can't last forever. We will have so many pictures to post from this weekend (thanksgiving at grandpa crowley's) and then all next week at Cameron's folks! Until then.... HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Hahaha! What a funny kid! It sounds like you two have WAY too much fun.. oh, wait... that's how mommyhood SHOULD be! You're doing such a good job with him, Kels, and I'm sure things will only get better once Cameron gets home. :) I love all of those pictures! Especially the glare one... total Cameron! And the crying one, I can totally relate. Don't worry... it just gets worse! LOL Oh, kids are so joyous, aren't they? Good luck on your flight and I REALLY hope I'll be able to see you before we leave Monday night! xoxo
cute hat porter man!
I love that he is already in 18-24 clothes. I'm sure little guy won't be so little either. :)
