Early Turkey Day!

This may be a first for me.... posting the same day as the event. BOOYA!

K, so yesterday we (mom, dad, me, bradon & porter) drove to Rialto to have an early Crowley Thanksgiving (my mom's side of the family). We headed out as soon as porter got up and going in the morning, made it to Costco about 11ish, to the hotel to check in around noon, and just in time for Porter's nap. Everyone else was visiting with family, but porter and I spent the afternoon held up in the hotel room while he slept for 3 1/2 hours! (As the 3rd day in a row I would say he is officially a once a day napper! what a big boy) Once he was up and fed we went to my Aunts house for dinner with a good bunch of family.

This morning, Britt & Walter's families drove here and we had almost all of the family here for the holiday! It has been a long time since I've been here to visit, and so much has changed, but it was a lot of fun to be back and to visit with cousins I haven't seen in 7 years or so! We started the turkey's and cooking this morning, than Porter and I had to leave for the afternoon again so he could nap, and we made it back just in time for dinner! (The boys had been re-building my grandpa's fence all day, so we had to wait till they were done anyway, and the timing was perfect!) Unfortunately I didn't have my camera out much because I was preoccupied with feeding porter, or trying to keep him inside because it was pretty chilly once the sun went down- but here are a few i snapped this morning during prep.

haha.... could he possibly look any more annoyed with me? I know it just happened to be in the middle of a glance change, but still.... makes me laugh!

This was after I specifically told him NOT to eat the football.... Cameron, hurry home so you can start disciplining your child! lol... j/k

I love that look of "i'm about to lose my balance, think, tighten core muscles, squeeze every fiber of my being, don't fall, throw your head into it...." he has figured out if he can get his head forward he's usually off to a better start. hahah.

Aunt Lisa had the honors.... ugh. So glad Cameron always takes care of this part of dinner!

Already, at 1 year old, Porter is trying to hijack Grandpas electric chair just like the rest of the kids.... no shame.

The end! I'm really kind of sad I didn't have my camera out more. I would have loved to have gotten a group shot, i just wasn't on my A game today I guess. :( It was really great to see all of my cousins this weekend though, everyone is so "old" now and off doing their college and jobs and grown up stuff. So weird! Happy Early Thanksgiving 2011 Everyone!
